Nail Technology (Manicurist)

At The Salon Professional Academy, our nail students learn a variety of treatments and how to use nail products, along with safety and sanitation, anatomy and physiology, and business management. Students also develop professional skills by working with mannequins and real clients.

  • Training with both clients & mannequins, providing you real-world experience.
  • Critical business planning and communications skills for a well rounded education.
  • Preparation for Colorado licensure, and a business plan for success.

How long is this program?
This is a 5 month program (600 class hours.) Classes run Tuesday through Saturday with varying hours.

Do I need prior experience with nail technology?


No! Our Students come from all walks of life, all ages, and all professional backgrounds. What makes our program so great is our expert staff are capable and experienced with teaching the required skills to a variety of learning styles.

What are the minimum requirements?

Every student will need the following to enroll in a program at The Salon Professional Academy, Grand Junction:

  • Must be at least 17 years old.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have a record clear of felonies.
